We are delighted to announce, that we have implemented the ISO 14001: Environmental Management Systems (EMS) into CLD Fencing Systems processes and practices.

After initial reviews, planning of the ISO 14001 project and training the organisation on the standard, we have been awarded the certification.

We know some people probably won’t know what this standard is or don’t know much about it. So, we wanted to let you know what it is and why CLD Fencing Systems have implemented this standard.

What is the ISO 14001 certification?

ISO 14001 is an international standard for environmental management systems (EMS) and is the most used EMS in the world, with approximately over 360,000 ISO 14001 certificates globally. It’s a systematic framework that manages the immediate and long-term environmental impacts of an organisation’s products, services, and processes. This certification gives the assurance to stakeholders that the businesses environmental management system meets international industry specific requirements and standards.

The EMS ISO 14001 helps businesses control their environmental aspects, reduce their impacts, and ensure they are completely compliant with legal procedures. According to the NQA Global Certification Body, studies have shown that nearly 70% of total office waste is recyclable; however, only 7.5% actually reaches recycling facilities.

How does ISO 14001 help CLD Fencing Systems Ltd?

The ISO 14001 provides a framework for environmental management best practices that CLD Fencing Systems have been able to implement into their ways of working. It helps minimise our environmental footprint and reduce risk of pollution incidents. Whilst reducing these risks, it also provides the business with improvements in our operations and ensures compliance with any relevant environmental legislation.
