Sports Pitch Fencing for Man City Etihad Training Complex
‘A Structure for the Future’ using CLD Fencing Systems Perimeter and Sports Pitch Fencing.
“We are building a structure for the future, not just a team of all-stars” announced Sheikh Mansour in 2008 with reference to Manchester City Football Club. Six years and £200m later, Mansour’s vision has been realised in the Etihad Training Complex; an 80 acre site where over 450 players train each week. The site, home to 17 football pitches and a 7000 seat stadium for reserve matches, is an epitome of innovation and state of the art design that CLD Fencing Systems are proud to have contributed to.
During the early stages of project conception, CLD Fencing Systems were approached by the architects to provide professional design input for the Perimeter and Sports Pitch Fencing System and Gate Solution which was critical to the final outcome. Our project managers remained dedicated and focused throughout ensuring that our products complemented the Manchester City Brand and the environment they wished to create.
With a comprehensive range of over 20 mesh systems, CLD Fencing Systems were not only able to deliver high security fencing to LPS1175 and Secured by Design but also products that are specially designed for sporting application. The complex now boasts over:
3000 linear metres of CLD Securus SR1 High Security Flat panel Fencing System
30 Lockmaster SR2 Security Gates
800m of Ballstop Netting at 6.0m high
500 linear metres of the spectator Sports Rail
750 linear metres of Dulok Rebound Double Wire Fencing System
In order to ensure customer care stayed at the forefront, CLD Fencing Systems worked with our approved contractor and the main contractor and BAM Construction, to ensure absolute delivery of the completed product and continuity for the project. Our project managers were able to work carefully through the project specification selecting critical items ahead and issuing drawings ready for sign off. Upon completion, all operation & maintenance manuals were produced with the relevant security documentation to LPS1175 and Secured by Design.
